One Tuesday afternoon in January we organized a small group of friends to climb some headlamp laps on a local route in Clear Creek after work. Big Mouth was particularly fat this year in comparison to some years when the route barely comes in. 

Ben got there early and set up one rope so we quickly set up a second to get in as many laps per person as we could. We had a blast swapping belays and swinging picks into the solid ice until well after dark. A couple other friends showed up once we lost light and decided to head up to the second pitch before they called it a night. 

The rest of us packed up and headed out back to the cars to go unwind over beers at New Terrain and swap photos.
