This hidden gem may not be such a secret these days. Growing in popularity, you have to time your visit carefully with local guiding companies and many locals leveraging this backyard classic as a weekly training ground.

Valentine’s Day forecast called for negative temperatures on the day we planned to climb with our amigo James. We chose Valentine climbs and belayships over the hallmark holiday and supporting capitalism. Plus, with negative temps we thought we might get the crag to ourselves, at least for a little bit. 

The bitter cold did afford us some solitude after another party called it a day and we had Secret Falls to ourselves until the guided party showed up later.

Fun times were had and the climbing was superb! Honestly, none of us ever complained about the freezing temps either!
