After a wonderful trip to Seattle to attempt Mount Rainier and then successfully climb Mount Adams, three of us friends took a ferry north to Squamish, British Columbia.
The Bluffs in Squamish are iconic and a fun playground especially for us dipping our toes in the vast climbing area around the town.
We spent more time eating and recovering from our glacier climbs while visiting this first trip but we were able to squeeze a quick morning of climbing in. Unfortunately the rain cut our climbing short, as it does up in that region, but we still got a few laps in and toured the area!
Admittedly we intended on climbing more while in town, but we were pretty beat after Washington. The brewery tours and food scene kept us occupied and we really enjoyed the vibe!
Despite very little climbing with a short window, Squamish made an impression and my partner and I have already made a couple visits back. Can’t wait to return!
