After we climbed the Mountaineers Route on Mount Whitney we bounced around Bishop and some other areas for hot springs and in search of climbing. We landed on the Shark Fin in California as our impromptu rock climb.

During a trip with friends to climb the Mountaineers Route on Mount Whitney we combined a rock climbing trip after our Bishop hot springs visit. The hot springs were our celebration after our successful climb. 

Our buddy James came up with Shark Fin as an impromptu California rock climb. Approaching the feature was pretty neat as we basically crossed a desert with very little features other than the mountains in the background. Out in the middle like a sore thumb stands Shark Fin!

We had a fun casual day in the sun with stellar company!
