My first trip to Shelf Road was actually unplanned and mostly by accident. I was with a group of friends camping at South Colony Lakes attempting some peak objectives in the area when weather cut our trip short. 

Rather than sitting around in the rain we decided to pack up and hike out and bail on those plans. We quickly pivoted in the parking lot and decided to make a spontaneous trip to shelf road. We had our rock gear packed and it came in handy!

The constellation prize turned out great with camping and fun climbing at Shelf!
