My first trip to Beaver Creek did not disappoint and I didn’t find it nearly as Bougie as some had advertised. We did luck out with a weekday trip and minimal crowds, though.
It was a unique resort experience and I loved the approach from the parking lot. Strap on your board or skis and cruise down to the main building and lifts. Way cooler than carrying your equipment in and having to walk!
The sparse aspens at the approach runs are a unique aesthetic as opposed to thick green forest coverage.
My partner and I made some easier runs in the morning before making our way to the famous Olympian mogul hill, a black diamond rated run. Of course we had to give it a go! Moguls can be fun on a board, if you catch the right conditions.
I quite enjoyed my first trip to Beaver Creek and had a fabulous day making turns with stellar views all around. Would return, likely on a non-crowded weekday again.
