2012 Boulder Creek Tubing

I organized a couple river days with fam and friends to enjoy some tubing and grilling back in 2011 and 2012. In 2012 we opted for a closer location because the logistics for the large group we had were complicated. Boulder creek was the perfect close spot!

Boulder Creek is a popular and busy tubing location for locals gathering daily with weekends being busiest. We showed up early to snag a decent spot next to the river since we had a big group.

The tubing is much more mild than the Poudre river and you can make multiple laps depending on how much back and forth walking you want to do. Spring runoff, rain and other factors can certainly still make these rapids dangerous, though!

The park offers plenty of space for bigger groups, grilling, lounging around on the grass and various activities. My partner’s family from El Salvador were in town and joined this tube outing and I think they had a blast doing something a little new (despite the cold water)!

We all enjoyed the day tubing, floating and of course eating and drinking!
