Bike Denver, a former organization now part of Bicycle Colorado, was a super cool nonprofit that helped to establish and secure bike lanes among other cycling initiatives in Denver to help ensure the safety and longevity of the cycling communities.

A wonderful organization that was full of awesome people doing good work. I volunteered with them for several events in the past, one of them being this Cycle in Cinema. The Cycle in Cinema was one of my favorites!

We cycled stationary bikes that powered the live music and then the movie on stage! It was such a cool experience as us volunteers traded turns cycling to power the festivities. They hosted music, raffle giveaways, excellent food and drinks all with the Denver skyline as our backdrop behind the movie screen in a downtown parking lot.

We had such a blast this evening helping out with the event and then eating and drinking our way through the feature film. I can’t wait to do another one of these in the future! Bonus points for the ice cream food truck and the goat cheese beet concoction that was to die for!
