Da Country Club

This was another short loop I scouted as part of a social event series I hosted for the CMC. Another classic gpx route pulled from my local Strava trails link. I had been chipping away at my shortlist of local cycling routes and this shorty was next on the list.
Some of the other shorter loops we tried didn’t connect as well or flow like a loop, rather a segment. So I was curious how this one would pan out. The start location is strange on the other side of the South Platte Trail access in front of the Country Club. Hence the name of the route, “Da Country Club” - which starts and ends in front of the country club in Denver.
Most of the route itself is on the South Platte Trail underneath the main streets downtown. My partner and I cruised over to scout one afternoon before the CMC ride I was hosting. Another short social loop to easily link up with other riders after work in the winter. At the time I was attempting to build out more of the road biking section of the club.
This route was perfect for a short social ride after work with plenty of options to follow up with a local patio or other social gathering. Winter months don’t leave much daylight after work, so some of these short loops are perfect for a quick post work ride followed by socializing and eating.
